Question BBK THROTTLE BODY 1759 80MM - Revisited

I did a quick search and didn't come up with much... azmidget touched on this subject.... but never gave us any REAL numbers on it or dyno results...

I've heard some decent gains can be achieved with this TB and I have also heard it is a waste of money....

Who has this BBK TB on there 5.4L 3v?
Can anyone shed some light on this - who's got it, was there any gains, and what the dyno numbers are?

Thanks,
-f2f-

i have it (like you mentioned) but never got any dyno numbers on it, the draw back to this tb is that the intake is only 75mm so the sudden decrease causes a whistle kinda like a tb spacer, i have been asked several times if its turboed lol, but if your diy'er and want to try something you can open up the intake to try to get the full potential of the tb. i plan on doing this someday but for now, it helped throttle response a little and gained a little hp. btw i also have the jlt intake which uses a 4" maf, and straight pipe exhaust so the only thing restricting my truck right now is the intake

ok well i put the stock tb on and tested out that dyno program and i really need a longer road that i can get a good 1/4 mile run all the way through 2nd gear to get a good reading but only running up to about 4500 rpm it was getting around 260 stock, didnt try it before with the bbk, so ill get some numbers up tonight
