Two versions of Bilstein 5100

Time to buy the 5100s. I only want the 1" lift in front because I still want some rake, but the information available is confusing.

Can anyone confirm I can get a 1" lift with the second listing? Price difference is negligible since I would do a 0" before a 2" if I can't get the 1".

I followed advice from the site and went to Top Gun Customz.
Top Gun has the following for $389 to the door:
Front: BE5-C293-T0 (listed as 0 or 2" lift)
Rear: BE5-C294-T0

Site on eBay has the following for $429 to the door:
Front: BE5-C298-H0 (listed as 0-2" lift)
Rear: BE5-C299-H0

You should be able to get the 1" lift out of them..........the bilstein shocks I have are the BE5-C300-HO & BE5-C301-HO which are for the FT/RR for an 04-07 2wd. These had three adjustments - 0(stock), 1", & 2".

I'm not sure which ones you are looking at.....the second listing you have I think are for 04-07 4wd. I'm not sure about the first one......I know Bilstien did have some shocks that only had 2 adjustments. But if you are buying them new, you should be OK......Check with the seller before you buy them to make sure.

I called Bilstein in an attempt to get more clarification. The 293/294 shocks were manufactured for contract sales. She used the term "RCD". She also referenced a new version available. Their system shows the BE5-C298-H1 and BE5-C299-H1 as the most current product available for my applications.

I guess I keep looking.

So if I already have a 2" lift would I just go with the stock ones?

No, you can still go with the 5100's and remove the leveling kit and bump the shocks 2" or keep the leveling kit and put the shocks on the stock setting (0"). Mine have 3 settings 0",1", or 2" and I bought mine from eshocks.com and have the BE5-C298-H0 part number for the fronts

What would happen if one were to run the shocks on a 1" setting combined with a 2" leveling kit? would it too much for the truck?

Your upper control arms probably wouldn't reconnect but even if it would I wouldn't do it, too much stress on your ball joints and cv joints. If you want more then 2.5" of lift from a leveling kit either get a body lift or go with a suspension
