Truck was broken into *almost*

Sorry guys just have to vent...

So i get my brand new Kenwood Excelon DNX8120 installed with everything XM, Sirius, Nav Traffic, iPod connection, anything and everything you can add. Also had them throw on amp, sub, speakers...

Had this done Friday.

Saturday morning I go out and my passenger window is shattered. I just had my windows tinted to 5% all around so I think the alarm kept them from trying more and the tint held the glass together.

Luckily my dealer is awesome! and I dropped it off sat morning and by sat afternoon they had fixed two warranty issues, done my 15k tuneup, fixed my window and sent it out and had it retinted. All for only $600(i say that sarcastically LOL)

I have a suspicion someone from the audio place got my address and came over for a late night visit....

Anyone else had this happen? I guess its what I get for living in a apt. complex....

I know the feeling. I walked out on my truck, about to be broken into. 3 guys.... one on the wheels, one with a punch on the window and the other was like a look out. Set off the alarm and they scattered into some POS car and ran. Next night the neighbors truck and work truck had the locks driven in and they where emptied...

I have a two way alarm system (clifford RSX). I took it and had 4 shock sensors added to the 4 i already had and the sensitivity turned up on all of them. Also added wheel/elevation type sensors, a hood latch sensor and sensors in the bed. Also picked up DEI as insurance for the whole truck..

It sucks and will make you very paranoid, i never leave the truck for long periods if im out and if i have to i make sure the alarm signal can reach me.

Thanks for the reply.

I also have a two way pager but there is no way that is going to wake me up, there used to be guns shots everynight (and the police sirens that went along with them) at my last place and I still never woke up. neighbors and family would have to tell me LOL

BTW, what is DEI?

**Edit

here are some pics for those who are curious...
Out side of truck with 5% all around

Here is where they f'ed up the trim trying to pop the window...

Does anyone else have the rubber around their windows discoloring? it really sucks... Warranty?

Oh and sorry for the crappy cell phonepics...

DEI is a starter kill system. They claim it can imobilize your truck if they try to steal it, or they will replace it. At least that is what sold me on it...
