14.4 MPG avg highway at 70mph. 11.9MPG avg around town. This is calculated on paper not with the display in the truck. And his is with 10" of lift and 38" tires... Gears help a lot. I have gotten 14.9mph before.

When I was stock I averaged about 17.4HWY

Call bluff all you want but these are consistent numbers, I'm actually pretty impressed myself.

Yeah I think it's pretty typical...I have an '06 2wd Supercab (3.55:1) and 90% of my driving is highway. The best I have ever gotten with my truck is 15.5 MPG and I usually average between 12-14 MPG.

My dad's truck is virtually the same as mine but is an '07 supercrew and he said the best he's ever gotten out of his is a little over 16 MPG. His rear-end ratio is also 3.55:1.

I believe people who say they are getting somewhat better mileage than this but you hear some pretty outlandish figures tossed around on this site from time to time.

I've heard a lot of people who have 3.73 rearends report that they regularly get quite a bit better mileage than my truck. I specifically made sure my truck had 3.55's before I bought it because I thought it would get better mileage. Wish I knew then what I know now.

Ya if your truck is stock that isnt normal.

I have a 2005 2wd also and I get 18-20 Highway going 70 I am stock right now though so If you have a lift/tires ect it may be different. but i dont see just tires dropping it that much. at least i hope not.
