4.6L vs. 5.4L
Torque matters more than horsepower. What is the torque rating of a 4.6 that puts out 332 HP? A REAL truck engine puts out a lot of torque. It has to do so to move so much weight around.
its all good man.when i was at the dealer i never heard about the suit.i was there from 2003 till a month ago so maybe the suit was before i went in?i didnt say that the 4.6 was fast i only said durable.at least that was what i was trying to say.anyway in the end its a ford.i like my ford and you like yours and thats what really counts right?fug it

4.6l
Okay, now, I will say there have been times that a diesel would've been a wise choice. I use my truck for pulling and hauling whether it's 500 LBS of alf alfa, or pulling a 9,000LBS trailer and tractor. However I will say the 4.6L that I have has done me proud and I love the truck, I love the engine. I have added two things, one being a K&N CAI, and Troyer Performance tunes, and the truck pulls like a champ, it does have it's issues when going up steep hills/ mountains, but what can you expect.
The 4.6 3v is a freak, I drove one in an expedition and that thing would get it. It is very close to the 5.4 3v in hp and pretty dang close in tq, I just don't understand why the 3v head didn't make that big of a difference on the 5.4. I have nothing but respect for that engine, it makes some big power for being that small.
