Not sure if this has been posted...just came out today:http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080514/ford_recall.html?.v=1

I have a ever so slightly mushy feel, but since I have the 4.6 I am not up for this TSB

I've got a little bit of 'mush' in my brake pedal. If I pump it once it gets much firmer. Guess I'll be taking mine in for this...

That makes 2 of us! Luckily I have not had any issues, but I guess I want this looked at. Now I wonder if they will ever do a recall on that crappy A/C in these trucks!

SUBJECT: Safety Recall 08S05
Certain 2005 & 2006 F-150 and Mark LT Vehicles Equipped with 5.4L 3-Valve Engines Brake Booster Vacuum Hose Assembly Replacement

REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL
The brake booster vacuum hose, at its attachment to the intake manifold fitting, may swell over time and lose retention force on the affected vehicles. This condition could allow the hose to detach from the fitting during an intake manifold backfire, resulting in loss of power assist and increased brake pedal efforts.

CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
Owners of affected vehicles will not be notified until dealers have received service repair and parts ordering information. It is anticipated that customer notification will begin early July 2008.

REASON FOR THIS COMMUNICATION
To inform you that Ford Motor Company is notifying the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
(NHTSA) of an upcoming safety recall on the affected vehicles. Parts are not currently available to complete the required repairs. It is anticipated that the complete dealer bulletin, including repair instructions and ordering information for the revised service parts, will be provided to dealers in late June 2008.

AFFECTED VEHICLES
• Certain 2005 and 2006 F-150 vehicles equipped with 5.4L 3-Valve engines built at the Dearborn
Assembly Plant from 6/18/04 - 5/31/06, Kansas City Assembly Plant from 5/4/04 - 5/31/06, and at the
Norfolk Assembly Plant from 4/19/04 - 5/31/06.
• Certain 2005 and 2006 Mark LT vehicles equipped with 5.4L 3-Valve engines built at the Dearborn
Assembly Plant from 6/18/04 - 5/31/06.

This won't fix a 'mushy' pedal from what I can tell. I have personally seen 1 truck come in with this condition. When it happens, it is very hard to stop the truck. No power vacuum assist for the brakes.

Because of a recall? Hope you don't plan to own any new vehicle then, they all have problems

Mine seems to blow pretty cold air... Any of you guys with the 'bad' A/C able to take temp readings at the vents?
