Step Bar install problems

I recently took off my Ford Factory installed step bars to paint them. I'm trying to reinstall them and two of the bolts and three u shaped metal bolt//clips broke off. Is there any where I can get new bolts and the u clips. I wish I had more info about the bolts and clips but was hoping someone has taken there's off and know what I'm talking about.

I have checked with Ford and they cannot help..

I would think tha your local Ford dealership could order the hardware kits for your stepbars. If not check online with some Ford parts websites.

I know what you mean about the hardware. I have had my bars off 3 times, and if I take them off again I will need new clips as well.

i'd personally go to the hardware store and find some u-nuts that will work and some bolts, it will be alot cheaper.

I got my step bars used and they were missing a couple of the clips and bolts. I also tried the dealer and they said the hardware was not available separately. I ended up going to a local truck wrecker and they supplied me with a few. I may still have some laying around if I can find them.

I got some of these at Sears Hardware for my Westin steps. I assume they are the same thing, the u clip thing with threads in the center. It creates a machined threaded hole in any hole on sheet metal. The Westins mounted in the factory location under the body, so I assume they would work for you application as well.
