Thanks for the write-up, looks great!
I just ordered som Krylon GLOSS to do my bedrails......
The only problem is , I can't get my bedrails off due to my "ROLL-N-LOCK" has its "rail" sitting on top.

The only way I can do this is "taping" off the best I can, but I would really like to "brush" it on..........the surface is "textured" so I don't think it will look any different than spraying.......

But how can I "brush" using a can of "spray" paint????
Is it possible to spray a small brush to brush it on???

OK, everybody have a good laugh now........
somebody please help me out here!

I have the same Roll-n-Lock cover. I never thought of brushing on the paint. The best way I know of being able to brush on paint from a spray can, is spray it in a cup or even the top off of the can and use a brush to paint with. Be aware when you spray it into a cup or top it will have overspray so don't do this close to your truck. Also what ever you spray it into make sure it is not Styrofoam the paint will eat it up.

Well almost two years after this thread was started and I am wondering how the Fusion paint is holding up. Really curious. Thanks for any input.

Krylon

WOW! It was 07/2009 when I sprayed KRYLON on my bed rails!
I'm HAPPY to report that I was actually inspecting the KRYLON to see how it's been holding up......and it looks like I just sprayed it today!

This truck sits in the South Florida sun all day, every day and the KRYLON is
awesome. I was looking at my "step" (I have a "step-side") which is looking a little gray lately as well as the other plastic exterior pieces.
I plan to spray all of it with KRYLON!
This stuff is amazing....thanks for the TIP, guys!

I did mine about 2 years ago with the Fusion Gloss black and no clear. So far the cowl still looks good. It's not as shiny as it once was but it's still black. My truck also sits outside every day. I plan on doing my bed caps but have been too lazy to take out the tool box.

Too bad each cowl has a rubber piece at the end. Mine are both in pretty bad shape. If you want to replace... I was told you have to buy the entire piece. Bastards!

Why stick a crappy rubber piece at the end that is going to disintegrate, and not make it a separate part?

I've been debating on ordering a new set of wiper cowls and bed caps. After finding this thread and seeing that some of you guys have had good results for two years. I have to give it a try.

Hi, first post, great forum. Have any of you guys removed & painted the plastic piece below the front bumper?
