took the truck to the track last night....
well as the subject states, i took the girl to the track last night and she ran about what i thought. 16.228 at 84.71 MPH. i think i might have let off early but i dont know. either way its about what i expected. i dont have time to scan the time slip so here are the figures
R/T ... .726 ----- Horrible i know.
60' ... 2.452
330 ... 6.849
1/8 ... 10.496
MPH... 68.30
1000... 13.581
1/4 ... 16.228
MPH... 84.71
i was only able to get one run in due to people breaking all the time. so who knows. maybe i can get a 16 flat out of her.
BTW this run was completely stock. absolutely nothing done to it.
i think my plans for mods will be intake, longtubes with X-pipe, high flow cats, and custom mandrel bend tubing. once those are done then i will go with a tuner, efans, and maybe pullies, i have always been wary of them.
you guys think i can hit a 16 flat stock?

I don't see you shaving 2 1/10 off without doing some mods. The mods you have listed look good, but you may have to do the intake after you get a tuner, as some of them require a custom tune to get rid of a lean condition. You might try taking the spare and the tailgait off, and running on less than a 1/4 tank to get your weight down, that should help some.

yeah i ran with under a 1/4 tank. and track conditions were great. i figured thats about what i was going to run so im not disappointed in it. i knew that i need to get the exhaust and the intake before i get a custom tune due to the lean conditions.
what kind of time do those mods shave? if i was to do basically full bolt on. just about everything short of a whipple. what would you guys think i would run? 15.5? i cant wait till my warranty gets close to getting up and i get a whipple.

what does your truck weigh.
There is a member on here that goes my NEAL, his truck has just about everything you can do to a 5.4 besides supercharge it, and his sig says he ran a 13.60. However he has way more work done that just intake, exhaust, tuner, fans and pullies. If you are worried about your warrenty then go with the roush supercharger, and it wont void your warrenty.

you can sit at the light for ten minutes after it turns green and it would make no difference. the clock starts once your tires break the beam.
Damn you light truck people! I want 15's bad and I ran a 16.0 @ 86 with a '06 Supercrew & oem 20's. I know the wheels are what's killing me, that and the fact that's it's 4-door.
But to get to a 16.0 I added 2.5" custom exhaust, AF1 3.5", 4.10 Ford gears, & Xcal3 tuned by Troyer Performance.
Next time I go I'm dropping my full spare and taking anything out of the truck.

im not sure what my truck weighs. i was going to jump on the scale last night but no one was running it. the guy that did full bolt on, was he also running cams and everything? im just talking about full bolt on no internals.
