Compass Doesn't Like A Magnet
Heh, just a little info for anyone with a satellite radio. Don't put your magnetic antenna too close to your compass (under your rear view mirror). It will lock it up and force you to recalibrate your compass. This is the point where we need an animated smile that smacks itself in the forehead because I would insert it here.
I know, I know...what a dipstick move. Didn't even think about it until I glanced at my display while driving East and the compass was showing SW. Took me about two seconds to realize what I did. I have since relocated the antenna and everything is working fine. |
Well until your post I had no idea where the compas was located. I would have thought the engine bay. So whos the idiot now?

Well, I don't have a compass but based on the zillion posts asking "What's that thing by my mirror" I know where the compass is located.
I however did not know there was a magnet in the satelite antenna. Of course I don't have satelite radio, but I still doubt I'd have known. |
Here's your sign...
