Slip Yoke?
Slip Yoke?
I thought I had a leak from the pinion seal but ford informed today that it was from the slip yoke. I was just wondering were is the slip yoke located at? is it near the flange ont the rearend that the driveshaft bolts to. My leak is at that flange or from the pinion bolt there, I'm just trying to make sure ford is working on the right leak.
Thanks for this info. I'm 4x4. I called ford back and double checked that he said it was the slip yoke and he said yes. I ask him if the slip yoke was by the tranfer case because my leak is around the reaerend. He the leak is at the slip yoke at the u joint at the rearend. I think he is talking about the yoke flange that bolts to the pinion flange. This is the leak location but I didn't think that a leak could come from there. This is also the area were my driveshaft spacer goes. Any other info would be great. Thanks for the help so far.
the flange yoke, sounds like you're talking about the flange where the driveshaft bolts to, which is exposed but also has a yoke that enters the front side of the rear diff. Is this what you're talking about them replacing? Right now I have a transfer case output shaft leak, as well as a leak on my rear diff. Already bought the output shaft seal and will be replacing soon.
