Spring Mods (5150's, MagHytec, Exhaust)

Here are a couple pics of my new mods for spring. The winter road salt rusted my rear shocks pretty good so I decided to get new Bilstein 5150's for the rear to use during the nicer weather and I'll put my Rancho's back on for the winter months.

I also put on my Mag-Hytec differential cover that I've had for a few months now, and took a picture of my new exhaust setup (crappy picture, sorry). I had the Roush off-road but the piping was interfering with the Mag-Hytec and blocking the view of it so I decided to go with a custom Borla side exit before the rear tire. It isn't as loud as the off-road was, but still sounds pretty good. I used one of the tips from the Roush on it.

Man, I love that differential cover. So will you once you decide to change your differential fluid !!

The 5150's are a great shock. Not too bad lookin' either.

Very nice i like, i wanna run the rancho on my supercrew. question for, are the paint on the rancho's that crappy? i live in WI and i dont want white shocks, would you recommend painting them before install? any tips on installing it?

Well, I think the paint on most any shock will do the same thing. I had a Skyjacker lift on my old truck and they actually rusted worse/sooner than the Ranchos did.

Damn salt

Here's what they look like, it's not too bad but it bugs the hell out of me:

yeah those look like crap those would **** me off real bad, i wonder if some POR15 would keep those suckers looking like new.

those shocks and diff cover are in my next mod list.
