Captain's Call?

is there such a thing for trucks like you can get on boats where you press a button and it goes from muffler to straightpipe?
Like a mechanical tube or something that went into a muffler but then when activated dumps it right be4 the muffler or into another pipe?
Idk, cool idea.

Yes, its called a cutout. They arent that expensive, several on this site run cutouts on their xhaust when they want some more output.

Yes they are called cut-outs. Summit has a decent one for $75. It uses 3 wing nuts to hold the cover on. I have seen some "mechanical" ones somewhere.....I'll get back to you on those.

Do you have a link or anything? and what size would I need? And can I install them with just clamps, or do I have to weld?

Search Jegs or Summit. They'll need to be welded on.

What size are our stock pipes? and where would I mount it? After the headers, or after the catalytic converter?

I have a QTP 3" E cutout on mine. I LOVE IT!
I have had it for about 4 years and NEVER once had a problem.

It sounds awesome open and at WOT!

One of my favorite mods for sure!
