i thought about it before i got my 05, but decided not to. I have to say your 5.5 scab is one of the better looking ones ive ever seen.

Thanks! I like it because it is short and stocky looking and not something you see everyday. I have been looking at black wheels to replace the stockers with but haven't yet come up with one I really like. I have seen a few threads with pics of some like mine but not many. I'm kinda of now leaning toward 20's in black with BFG's like I have.

my 04 FX4 is a supercab and has the 5.5' bed. i bought the truck used so i didn't have much of a choice. at first i wasn't too thrilled about the shorter bed, but i've grown to really like it... it gives the truck a strong looking stance.

i don't have any pics yet but will soon.

Here's my 05 Scab w/ the short bed.

Don't even sweat the short bed, it can still carry 20 footers.

I had an '06 XLT 4x4 S'cab with the 5.5' bed. I liked it a lot. When we went to Pismo, it handled nice over the dunes and stuff, shorter wheelbase made climbing hills fun.

Are you sure? Was the 5.5 an option for supercabs in 04?

No Pics yet, but I have the 5.5 bed on my SCab.

I intentionally got the 5.5 bed so I could park it in my garage. Also makes our trucks a little lighter too.

A month after purchasing my 2004 XLT:

I've since changed to 18" FX4 wheels, gotten a Lorado bed cover, added step bars, installed a SIDO Magnaflow and had the front windows tinted to 35%.

Has anyone put on a Lightning style side-exhaust on these trucks?
