Sears DieHard Platnium Battery

Does anyone have expierience with this brand of battery for their F150? I am planning to upgrade batteries before the summer, becuase my stocker is going on 4 years old. I have done a couple seaches but have not found much. I have heard they are good batteries and they come with a pretty big warranty period.

Any thoughts?

Sears buys their products based on bids based on their specifications. Even though the battery has the same name, the battery you buy today might be made by someone other than who made it last year or will make it next year.

The battery in my truck is about 4 1/2 years old and is working fine. However, the battery in my Escape is the original and I bought the Escape in November 2000. It has never failed me.

Sears DieHard Platinium Battery

I ended up going with the Optima because our local Sears outlet can not get batteries, but I liked what I saw from the research I did. My brother has been using the Platinium DieHards for years and swears by them. His current truck has a power hungry stereo, winch and a few off road lights and has not had any issues with dead batteries.

Does anyone know what size battery is in our trucks now? I'm sure I could look it up, but I know that someone here just knows it off the top of thier head.

take it from someone who sells them all day, they're good, but for the money you can get an optima yellow top and have it last twice as long.

I have heard so many mixed reviews on the optima's I don't know what to think about them anymore.

I just don't like the optima red tops, those things are toast if you drain them dry. I killed 2 pretty fast over a year. I exchanged for a yellow and no problems for like 8 months now.

I agree, friend had one in his offroad rig. Evertime we killed his alt and used the battery to get back to camp the battery was toast. Oddly enough I did the same on my offroad rig using a cheap wal-mart batter and it lasted for years
