33" Mud Grapplers on 20's

Anyone have any pics of this setup. I have been a fan of the 'lifted diesels, big lift on small tires/big wheels that stick out' look that is so common around here. I might go this route if I can convince myself it can look good. I would also get a lot better in town mileage, but my highway will go down. Post those pics if you have'em of any truck.

ewww... your truck looks sweet just like it is.

Texan Aviator Mar 22, 2008 10:59 PM

I'll try to find some pics but I'd say IMO it won't look good. I love you truck as is.

Screw-Me-05 Mar 22, 2008 11:11 PM

No way bro........... your truck has been the model rig on here for so long. Like they say "If it aint broke dont fix it"

mSaLL150 Mar 22, 2008 11:41 PM

Anything smaler than 35s just wont look right in those big wells. Just crank your coils down and put 35s on, it would look sweet.

I do know the look you are talking about though, a couple f250s near my home sport that look. However, one guy recently got 20" diesels with 37" graps and it looks killer.

ya your truck is badass:thumbsup: i told the gf that i can get married 'til im up on 37's just because of your truck:D then i got the whole you dont NEED a truck on 37's, well 33's and 20's are the perfect combo, still got some towing power and the ass wont hurt so bad filling it up either. either way, your truck is a legend:rocker:

Josiah Mar 23, 2008 01:58 AM

The community here (04-08 forum) is awesome, I'd never question that but I have not seen this combo on any 04+ F-150's. Thanks Atom, Tard, Texan and Screw'd, you guys are great. I appreciate every comment. mSall, if you get a pic of any of those trucks shoot'em my way. I need new tires so I'll be buying soon. I just am not sure if I want to be rubbing for the rest of my trucks life.

Don't do it josiah.

Just re-gear and that will get you you city mpg's back up.

And plus......why do you want to be like everyone else?

weazel Mar 23, 2008 06:04 AM

CANNONFX4 Mar 23, 2008 09:34 AM

33s would look terrible. Get 35s

TonkaTruck33 Mar 23, 2008 12:14 PM

if yout going with 33's at least get the mickey thompson baja claws... BUT DONT DO IT! PLEASE!!!
your truck was my main motavation to save all that money and getting a lift and big tires. i agree with fx3re. you should re-gear, and 35's if u want to go smaller route. dont tell me you cant do the gears ur self and save a s*t load of money.

Speedy8 Mar 23, 2008 12:22 PM

Dude....why?!!? i would kill to have a lift, tires, wheels, gears

rmadison Mar 23, 2008 12:32 PM

your truck does look good. but a drop from 37 to 33 will look homo(no offense) and with 20" rims you will have to worry bout every curb and rock you encounter. in so-cal (im sure nor-cal is the same) most lifter trucks run35on 20" enough rubber to go offroad but still good manners on the street. plus at 35 the 2" drop in hight and 1" drop in width will do wonders for your mpg's.

just my .00002

Hash278 Mar 23, 2008 01:30 PM

Well Josiah I think the community has spoken...:coffee:

35's would be better you know that.
