Lift Kits and Garages

Can anyone park in there garage after they installed their lifts?? Im not talking about a huge shed, but a normal attached garage. Mine is 7ft 9 inches at the top seal of the door. I want to lift, but i dont really want my nice truck sitting out in the cold.

You should have plenty of room. I have a 7 ft door and still have about 3 inches to spare. I have a 4" lift and 35" tires.

I really want to get the 8" Rize on 37's as soon as the funding is available, I know the 6" will fit because my buddy parked in my garage. Thanks for the info....Anyone else?

I know for a fact, the local Starbucks drive thru has a 7'9" clearence. My truck fits.

6" lift w/ 35" tires

But I would bet money the 8" rize wouldn't fit. I still hold my breathe going under it... i have maybe a couple inches at most.

I really dont think that would fit....maybe if one of the guys with the setup you want is nice enough to measure their trucks high point you could have an estimate.

I just bought my truck used, but the guy says it's a 6" lift with big tires (I'd have to go look at the size.) My attached garage is a 7' door and the truck clears with a couple of inches to spare. The radio antenna does drag along the garage door as it goes in.

I haven't actually measured my garage door opening. I know that my door has what I believe are called "hurricane braces" on the inside. I have no idea why. With those on the door, my truck just clears the brace at the bottom (hangs the lowest in the up position) and I'm riding on a 2.5" AS level w/ 305/65R18s (33's).

Then again, my door could be lower than 7' too.

**EDIT**

I went and measured. My garage opening is 7', to the seal on the bottom of the door is 6'9" and to the bottom brace is 6'7". Just low enough that it would knock off my GPS antenna and possibly scrape as the angle changed (my driveway slopes down toward the street as I exit the garage).

You will fit fine with the 8" Rize and 37's...and you'll have room to spare.

I could fit in my garage with a 6" lift and 35's and I only have a 7" door. The 8" Rize and 37's would only be 3" higher than that and you have a 7'9" door. You'll have about 6" to spare.

The garage I regularly park in has a 14' door so I have no problem. But at my friends house with a regular double garage door im staring at the roofline/gutters when I pull in the driveway...

I have a leveling kit now, and i have way more room then you do with your leveling kit. I would just leave it the way it is, but the angles suck terrible...and i figured a suspenion kit would work a little better. Of course im sure the larger tires will kill it too....what a predicament!

Oh no doubt! just pull straight in the "toy box" and roll the door down!

You should be ashamed to use that as an example to measure your TRUCK.
