Window going up slow

When I bought my in channel vent visors I knew the windows would go up slower, but my front passenger is seeming to have a little more trouble than the others. I don't even think it's going all the way up, it kind've just stalls when it gets to it. Is there anything I can do to help it out a little?

Mine is the same way. I actually have to pull the window up if I roll it down more than half way. As soon as it gets warm enough I am going to pull out the visors and sand/grind them down a little on the edges; and then throw on a nice coat of wax. I think I saw a thread a long time ago about the moulding being out of whack so that could be it...

Mine was doing the same thing. There was a lot fords having this problem. It covered under warranty. They told me weatherstripping in binding these windows. Mine got so bad I had to help it go up. Push up while holding the button. Theres a lot of post on this subject.

My drive side window was fine, but my passenger side one would only go up half way. I would have to help it the rest of the way. So I broke out the roto-zip out and cut the flange off on the horizontal piece and it is working a little better now.

Thanks guys. I actually had the window strip replaced days before I put on the shades because it was binding. I think I'll put a good coat of rain-x on and try the silicone.

I slammed my door shut one with the help of really stong wind and broke part of my window track. The window would go up really slow in cold weather and sometime the motor would click off cause it was overloaded. The first dealer I went to lubed the track and that helped for a few weeks then it started again. Then I stopped in at another dealer and they said the window track was broken. Got a new one put in under warranty and it's been perfect since.

TSB 07-2-6

02/05/07

POWER WINDOW SLOW UPWARD TRAVEL

FORD:
2005-2007 F-150

LINCOLN:
2006-2007 Mark LT

ISSUE
Some 2005-2007 F-150 and 2006-2007 Mark LT vehicles equipped with power windows may experience a customer concern of slow power window travel when raising the window; it may be due to a concern with the alignment of the window glass.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Lower the window completely, and measure the amount of time it takes for the glass to travel from the fully open to fully closed position.

a. If the time is less then six (6) seconds then DO NOT perform this TSB.

b. If the time required to move the glass from the fully open to fully closed position is greater than six (6) seconds, continue with this TSB.

2. Inspect the glass runs to make sure they are not wavy and causing additional resistance to the glass.

3. Remove the door panel, access the glass clamps through the openings in the door sheet metal.

4. Loosen the glass clamps (using a 1/4" drive T-30 Torx socket).

5. After loosening the glass clamps, the glass should be pushed up into the header, by hand, then shifted rearward, until it stops against the rear window run seal, and then lowered back into the clamps.

NOTE MAKE SURE THE WINDOW IS STATED IN THE BOTTOM OF THE GLASS CLAMPS. TIGHTEN BOTH CLAMPS AND VERIFY PROPER WINDOW PERFORMANCE, BY AGAIN TIMING GLASS CLOSING SPEED.

WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of New Vehicle Limited Warranty Coverage

Dont ask me where I got that

I have this exact problem. Dealer lubed the tracks and it helped for a couple months. I sprayed some lube in the tracks and that helped for a couple weeks. Looks like I am going to have to pull the interior door pannel. How many screw's hold it on and where are they at?

I don't care where you got it, but thanks. Back to the dealer when I have some time.

I will guess though, that you clicked the tab above that lists all the TSB's that I'm to lazy to ever look at

Scott....

There are two screws at the bottom of the door panel.
Prop off the tab behind the doorhandle with a screwdriver and I think there are one or two more.
Pull the speaker grill off with a screwdriver and take out the 4 screws that hold the speaker in, and disconnect the speaker.
I believe there is also a nut underneith the panel that holds the window/lock controls.
Im pretty sure thats all of them.

From there, pull up on the door panel a bit, then pull it away from the door. You should be able to push the piece that holds the window/lock controls through its opening in the door.
