Need 5100's for the front.
 

I have a set of rear 5100's on the way, but i can't find a place that sells just the fronts for a decent price. i've found:

Site A: set of 4 for $380

Site B: front two only for $150 each

that's rediculous if you ask me. any place to find the fronts for a decent price?

sorry bud but thats the standard price for them. You get what you pay for and those are great shocks. Plus do you really trust cheap shocks?

5100's are 5100's regardless of the price, no? i just think it's really weird that the two fronts are $300/pair by themselves, but when you order the set, an additional $80 gets you all four. seems like they should be ~$100 each. regardless, i think i got an excellent deal on the rears. :thumbsup:

billstein shocks are overpriced and overrated. just my 2 cents.

looks like they're using bilsteins stuff. the ordering box is misleading though. it says "Superide Select Series Struts - 2004 F-150" which says to me that ordering "1" gets you a set of two. thoughts?

It sounds like it is a a pair of fronts to me. I would just call them and make sure of it, and then place the order while still on the phone with them.

Will 5100's give you anymore lift? I have 6" Pro-comp Stage one now. Getting ready to replace UCA's and lower balljoints, figured would be good time to replace the stock shocks. I am going to be running 35x12.50 KM2's on 17x9 moto metal 951s. Would it be a good idea to also replace back ones at the same time?

the 5100's have a stock, 1 or 2 inch height adjustment. i think they are compatible with some lifts but i'm not sure about the Pro-Comp.

I'm going to buy them to level out the front with them as opposed to using a coil spacer.

after searching, i found another option. TopGunCustomz reportedly had the front set for $185. From what was reported in another thread, they only have the 0 and 2" option. I'm going to level with the 2" setting, but I curious:

Has anyone used the 1" setting before? Seems everyone goes 0 or 2? I don't think it'll be a big deal not having the 1".

Can these shocks be used with certain suspension lifts if i decide to get a 6" down the line? I think i recall superlift and Pro-comp being some of the few that would allow me to retain the same shocks. is that right or are longer shocks needed?

They are adjustable 0"-2". In one inch increments.

yes i know. there was a thread awhile back about the ones that Topguncustomz were selling. somehow, the version that Topgun had only had the 0 and 2" setting. there was no groove for the 1". i believe the speculation was that the shocks they had were for the RCD kit.
