i am having a hard time picturing this. i want to darken the taillights so they kinda match the headlights. would carbon fiber tails look ok? or would smoked look better? any one have this set up? pics would be great...

carbon fiber tails are rarely a good idea. they look good if they are fairly simple. however its difficult finding a tail light replacement for out trucks (besides the hellas) that dont looks trashy and ricey. i would stick with some harley tails or smoke your current stock ones. it looks alot better then some ricer altezzas or CF tails.

 

Just buy the black LED tails. they look so good

 

the smoked would look better IMO

 

well, i found a pair for $40 on ebay brand new (cant beat that!) so i thought i would try them out. i think they look pretty good on it, and they match the headlights pretty darn well.

I agree witht he HD tails or smoked stockers. Have yet to see an aftermarket that I liked nearly as well. IMHO

I bought an expensive set of Carbon Fiber tails off ebay. I put them on once or twice and they came off even faster. You can see them on in some of the pismo pictures. They looked like **** on my rig.

 

Pleez put the stockers back on and tint them those "CARBON FIBER" ones look like ***. you paid money to make your beautiful truck look like chit

 

yeah, get the Harley ones instead, they're only 50 or 60 bucks.

Harley tails would look 1,000,000 times better on your truck than those lights you put on IMO.

 

well, i asked your opinions, and you gave them. thanks.

while i have the stocker off i am going to tint them. we will see what happens with that. but for now, these will stay on.

yup, keep the stockers and tint them yourself. make sure to tape off the reverse lights before you spray them, it looks alot better that way
