I am right there next to ya. Everytime I do my calculations I dream that I'll hit that 14mpg mark....*SIGH* Maybe one day!!!
This is my DD so I've gotta get all I can out of it!

I am getting 16.6mpg. Sometimes it goes to 16.4 but mostly at 16.6. This is a 2 wheel drive Lariat Supercrew. 5.4

I guess you can tell from the pic!

Or is it simply to see your MPG's ? Are you guys that worried about it ? You bought a truck, and some lift it. Just wondering

(yall got me wanting to start keep an eye on it now)
I'm a stickler for information... I datalog every single trip in my Acura. Partially for fun, partially because I need to know what adjustments can be made, and partially to give me something to do at work.

On the truck, I check it just for the hell of it. I know where it normally is, and if there is a major change in it, I will know and be able to look for problems.

I think !

I'm not sure how you all have or haven't checked but I have. On my 2004 I averaged just a little better than 1.7 miles per gallon better by running high test fuel. Not only that the truck was consistantly quicker in the 1/8 mile by 3.1/0th of a second. I have every sheet from the track on regular gas and from high test. I also kept very accurate records on fuel mileage and again it was consistantly better when running high test. Yes I know FORD says we dont need to but I did for 4 years. My new 2008 right now is averageing 11.4 to 11.6 in town, I havent had it on the highway yet. Again just my 2 cents..

125 mile round trip this morning, mostly hwy ran 60-65mph and got 16.8 on first leg. Did about 25 miles city driving and mileage dropped down to 16.4. I guess I'm lucky with my truck's gas mileage.

My tire diameter is pretty close to stock... but I have much more meat on there now than there was stock. I got rid of the cheap, narrow, flimsy factory rubber along with the heavy steel 17 inch wheels, put on a set of "3rd party" 18 inch wheels, with 285 60 Toyo Open Country A/T tires. Viva la diference!

I get between 15.5 and 16.0 mpg using this truck as my DD. Thats about 1/3 city and 2/3 highway (55 mph). My daily round trip is about 18 miles.

My best mpg was a longer road trip and I got oh so close to 19 but not quite there.

I use the truck to tow a 27 foot travel trailer for vacation and some weekend trips. The trailer fully loaded weighs in at about 6,000 pounds. A long trip through the western U.S. this summer resulted in an overall average of 10.5 mpg... with a high of 12.2 and a low (pushing against a headwind for 2 days) of 9.2.

Very happy with this rig.

Update

My fiance took the truck on a small trip a few hours north. Calculated the mpg's and worked out to be 13.8mpg. I was AMAZED that I got 400 miles to one tank. I checked all of her math and everything looks right, but I was just surprised when I got 400. I was surprise before to get 300 to a tank but that was city driving.
