Calling on 4x4's for help, need pic of tow hooks installed.
I would really appreciate if anyone having a 4x4 could snap a picture of how there tow hooks look from under the truck. I bought a set of tow hooks with all the bolts and nuts I just need a picture so when they arrive I can install them.

I added the tow hooks to my truck, the tow hooks mount on the bottom of the frame flat against it. The nuts for the bolts are actually attached to each other, they slide inside the frame rail. The hard part is getting the nuts to line up with the holes inside the frame rail then starting the bolt. They way I did it was to place the nuts in the frame rail then start the back bolt, once it was started then I put the tow hook on. The back bolt on the tow hook has a hole to fit the head of the bolt through then it slides back. Once you get the tow hook on you can start the front bolt. It's not as bad as it sounds and it should be a little clearer once you see how the parts are made.

yeah, it ain't so hard to install them.
laying on your back and looking up, you'll see 2 holes in the bottom of the frame rail. on the inner side of each frame rail there is a slot big enough for 2-3 fingers. slide the bolts into that slot and drop them down through the holes. you can then thread on the nuts and tighten up the tow hooks. it's a little tedious, but easy to do |
I put them on my 2wd when I put on my guard and took them off when I sold my guard. No problem to do.
