questions about lowering in Texas

I think I have finally decided on lowering a little. Been putting extra money twords other toys now its time to get back to the truck. I wanna go with a 2/4 or try to get a 2/4.5 kit and have installed. Whats the best kit i can get that will keep my quality ride, not too expensive, and give me a perfect leveled out stance?

Also, I want this kit to be installed somewhere....does anyone know of any places in South Texas that install lowering kits? Perferably one that sells them too so I can go in, order what I want, and have it installed.

I am willing to travel as far as Houston thats about it, I live in Beaumont.

one more thing, I need my payload rating to stay around the same. I haul a 650 LB atv in the back alot of the times, and I dont want to have to worry about that messing my suspension up or botteming out

Generally a quality ride you will have to pay for it. I have Ground Force 9944 kit which is a 2/4 drop and I am very happy with it. It ran right at 1K but it includes front and rear springs, front bilsteins and rear GF shocks and drive shaft relocation bracket.

I can tow a 6000lb boat with my

As for installs I think 4wheels part can get the kit for you and install it.

I actually installed the kit myself. It was not very difficult but there are a couple of tricks to removing the driver side front leaf spring bolt with out removing the gas tank. The front needs a spring compressor and is actually pretty quick, the only thing that is really time consuming is cutting the factory carrier bearing bracket off and drilling 4 holes to mount the new one.

I dont know what a shop would charge to install it, but if you were to buy another leaf spring bolt from Ford for the driver side front they can cut the head of the bolt and pull it out and save you some big bucks for not having to drop the gas tank to remove that bolt.
