As long as you dont have a performance tune, run the cheap stuff, but a good brand (gas).

A lot of users on here claim that they have a quieter, better running motor with full synthetic. I use the ford semi syn and my truck so far is fine. I only have 13k and drive it on weekends.

Do some searches. Synthetic would be a good topic.

Congrats on the truck, welcome to the site. Create your gallery and post up some pics.

The manual is a wonderful thing...

Your engine was designed for 87 octane. It takes 7 qts of 5W20. A synthetic blend like Motorcraft oil (available at Wal-Mart) is called out in the manual, but you'll do fine with regular oil or full synthetic. The standard oil change interval is 5000 miles.

Yea I would like to have a manual, but the person I bought it from lost it.
