I broke my antenna connector...what do I do now?

I just got done instaling my new Kenwood DNX-7100. I was told before the instal to buy the $5 antenna adaptor because it doesnt fit. Well, I went to plug it in and it wouldnt go?

It looked like the black plastic piece that is over the factory antenna connector needed to come off so it would fit so I cut it off...well now it still don't fit and I believe I now since I broke off that plastic piece I busted my antenna hookup for my truck!

What do you guys think I should do?

Any help is appreciated!

Normally. I wouldn't recommend Radio Shack for anything ("You've got questions, we've got a blank stare")

However, they have just what you need, for $2.99

Oooh... I know what you did... same exact thing I did to mine!

You need a half cable to your antenna...

The part number on that bugger is:
7L3Z-18812-A for $24.69

It's a synch to install...

ALso, what do you mean by I"need a half cable"?
