it's not as "beefy" because the front end of these trucks just can't handle that much stress. When I first got my truck I was looking into them but I can't decide if I want to give my truck that look. I want something else because my ptm bumper is getting chewed up. I've seen these bumpers take quite a bit of abuse, well not this one but other ranchhands.

***** front crash rating would tell me your wrong on the front end being strong enough. I don't think my bumper being 145 lbs is going to put any stress on a fully boxed hydro formed frame. Heck everyone has been doing this and more for years on much weaker frames. But in a decade or so if my bumper mounts pull off the frame I'll be sure to post to this thread with a update.

I'd agree with you, your frame will be fine. I am talking about ball joints...

Ok so just have someone ride around with you in the passenger seat. "Oh no now my ball joints are going to snap!" Give me a break!

I'm going off what the Ranchhand dealer told me, and makes sense. The bumper he has on there right now is not going to hurt it. You put a beefy ranchhand on there and it will sag and PREMATURELY wearout the suspension.
