Improving MPG's
Has anyone had any luck getting more MPG's from K&N FIPK Air Intake (Fuel Injection Performance Kit)? Or any other cold air intakes? Found one on autoanything.com for $234.95 free shipping thoughts??

Can't say MPG gain for sure, Power increase, definately. Try checking Ebay though. I think I paid $200 new to my door around 2 yrs ago.

Doubt it would help. Keeping your foot out of it is the biggest saver.

supercharger should get you an extra 8 mpg;)

I already get enough mpg... I hit 19.2 mpg today... I normally get like 21-22 mpg both city and highway combined.

I saw a posts a few months ago about getting 2-3 more ponies from removing lugnuts... Mpg gains is a myth IMO. I THINK I may have gained 1mpg by adding exhaust, air intake, and a tune. Keeping your foot off the pedal is the best way... Drafting a Semi seems to help somewhat...Scary as hell, but helps. |
intake, exhaust, tune, etc........anything that helps add hp will help mpg if you keep your foot out of it. but most people are so happy to have the extra power their foot gets heavier.

when i drove up highway 5 cruise control on 70 mph with a 77mph tailwind i was averaging 24mpg. that was with my 5.4L 4x4.
