When you have a scab, 8' bed that sits high and has a tool box in the back. That'll keep you from seeing what's directly behind you like kids, pets, toys or other objects. And if you ever have to pull in, and back out of a tight ally (had to do a job in Baltimore city for 2 weeks, and the only place to park was behind the row home I was working in, and you could only access it through this tight*** allyway. Real PITA, but the camera made it alot easier to deal with. You guys out there with the short boxes, and there's hell of alot of you, don't have as hard a time seeing what's behind you.

One of the best ideas.
If you have a trailer you can back the ball right up to within an inch of the trailer.
You can now back into a parking spot and back up to within six inches of the car behind you. the same goes for parallel parking, which before the reverse camera was a bad idea.
It also adds safety when backing out of the garage or driveway when something is left in the way, or jumps in the way.
The down side is that you have one more place to watch while backing up. It can become overwhelming.
