Angry Intake issues

my uncle and i were trying to install a K&N intake on his 06 5.4 and we broke two of the four bolts that hold the throtlebody in place. how difficult or is it possible to get out the broken bolts and replace them.

The best thing to do is try to get a easy out the size of the bolt and try to tap into it and back the broken bolt out. They shouldn't be in there that tight unless they rusted for some reason? Make sure that you stuff a rag in the opening of the intake so no dirt of metal shavings go down the intake. It's a bad bind to be in but I hope it turns out alright for you.

why remove the tb?

If i remember correctly from when I installed mine you have to remove the TB to put in an elbow, then mount the TB to the elbow to line up with the intake tube

Best of luck getting it running

kind of odd that they would have you move your tb when all the other kits use a elbow on top of the tb instead of under it

odd yes-but im not the engineer so I just did as the instructions said to do

The elbow before the throttle body is basically a TB spacer. More performance.
