Signal Mirrors?

Looking to get some Signal mirrors on my XLT.

It does not currently have signal mirrors, so if i got some, would they just plug into the harness that is already wired, just not being used?

Any good suggestions on where to get them from with out spending an Arm & Leg....

Military pay is not the greatest!!

My XLT was pre-wired for the signal mirrors when I swapped mine.

I believe in researching I found that all XLT owners were pre-wired for signals. I do *not* recall if most were pre-wired for heat/fold, but mine were not. For signals alone, you are good to go.

For price, I found mine on eBay. Craigslist and scrap yards are the best bet for price, in my opinion.

make your own! I've thought about drilling into the glass to place led's into, not sure what type bit wouldn't crack the mirror however. It would look better than OEM.

Thanks for the info.. Thats what i was thinking.. I just changed out my door handle for the one with the keyless pad and it was pre-wired...

So i was assuming the XLT is pre-wired for most components that ford offers, even if your truck does or doesn't come with that component.

I've been looking on E-bay.. I want a pair.. I can only find one at a time..

Who's truck is that with the custom LED signals on the mirrors??

How did you wire them up? Use a factory Harness?

They're mine, I want to do LED's on the glass now. I would do it if I didn't already have the orange factory led mirrors.

Then some XLT's come prewired while mine was not. I ended up using the Muth signal mirror instructions to find the right wires. Do a search.

Oznium.com! I used 5mm LED's, 6000k in color so they match the headlights. Beware, BUY PREWIRED, it was a PAIN to heatshrink and solder every last one of them, I prob did about 20 of them.

yes. the mirror is a itch to get off. i call dibs on your mirrors!! one of my ptm mirrors i bought on ebay has a crack so i need a new glass... if you get them i will buy them off of you. or you can buy the muth mirrors.. about 200 i think... it just the actual glass that changes.
