Larger Fuel Filter

I was wondering if there were any types of fuel filters that were larger than the stock filter?

Also, do they make a quick-change type fuel filter, or maybe some sort of canister filter?

I find it crazy that Ford uses the same fuel filter for ALL vehicles... whether they have a 2.0 liter engine or a 6.8 liter engine.

What are you looking for out of this? I think changing the fuel fiilter is a quick task to begin with and it flows well too.

the stock filter is quick change if you know what you are doing

My only complaint, I wish it were a little more accessable, say under the hood, so I don't have to get my jack and stand out.

I was thinking of being able to get more miles in between each filter change... and possibly with a better grade filter... not like I am poking fun at Ford's filter... but I just could see some nice aftermarket adapter with some really nice filter kit on it. That's all...:coffee:

Why do you need a jack? Mine is 4wd so maybe that's why I don't use one

Yeah, but your name says you're a midget! truthfully, I might could inch under, but I have the nerf bars which are lower, plus I just hate tight spots. I like being able to move my arms around freely. One other point, I had a wise old mechanic tell me once not to ever get under a vehicle when all that was keeping it off me was the air in the tires. I took his advise and make sure if it goes flat, it won't be on me.

Sorry but FoMoCo doesn't use the same fuel filter for all vehicles, I don't know where you got that information from but it's wrong. :lurk:

Some aftermarket companies that make complete AN style lines from the tank to the rails that have a trick looking filter, but it is very expensive and not worth it IMO.
