How to weather proof soft tonneau cover?
Hello,
I bought a Lorado Lo Pro soft tonneau cover for my 05 f150 with 6.5' bed. It looks and fits great but i'm a little disappointed in that it still lets water into the bed during a rain, the main reason i bought the thing is to keep the bed dry under all weather conditions. water leaks in at the front of the bed under the weather seal, and also at the back at the gate.
anyone successfully weather proof their bed with a soft cover? how did you do it?
i'm so frustrated i'm thinking of taking it off and selling it... none of the ads say anything about weather proofing!
Thanks in advance!

I've got the same question. I installed my Truxedo Lo Pro about 3 weeks ago. It doesn't leak much, but I do get water in the bed. I think its coming from the front of the cover since the rubber seal is a little wavy. I've thought about silicon, but then it will make it a pain to remove and I'd have to reseal everytime time I messed with it. Anyone with any ideas?
Some weatherstripping should fix it. Buy some 1/4" thick closed cell foam tape, remove the tonneau and stick the tape to the metal rails for the cover. Closed cell foam won't allow water to pass through it. Reinstall everything and that should seal it up.
