15,000 mile Matience

My truck's about to hit 15,000 and I was starting to get some of it done. I was starting to get this done through a few different places, and some of it on my own. Just out of curiousity I called up my dealer and got a quote of $160 to have everything done. I was wondering if this was a good deal, and if you guys have done this on your own and if you've done anything additional than what it says in the routine matience manual. Just to let you know I've never changed my own oil, even though I'm sure I could easy enough.

On a side note when I called the dealer they asked me what kind of vehicle I had. I told him clearly that I had an 06 F-150 4x4. After I said this, he then ask's me if it's gas or diesel

I know where this thread is going...

But honestly... I would find another dealer... as your truck might not return in one piece.

I just posted the diesel part because I thought it was strange. This dealer has fixed every problem I've brought to them and so far I've had no major problems.

I mainly want to know if it was a good price, and what additional things people have done to their 15,000 routine matience.

Oh, I didn't know that you brought it to that dealer before...

Anyhow... $160 for a 15k tune up isn't bad... I would also recommend them swapping the transfluid too. Can't hurt.

I changed the oil and checked the air filter. I don't think anything else needs to be done.

I hate to keep putting this back at the top, but I really need some more answers and feedback.

And check the tire pressure! Don't fergit the spare, too!

And change the dryer sheets under the seats!

BTW - WTF's 'matience'?

At 15,000, I changed my own fuel filter and air filter, saves a lot of money. All I had the dealer do was an oil change and tire rotation. DHave them do the transmission at 30,000.

Ditto on the fuel filter...

I would also tell them to check the front suspension to see if there is unusual play in it. Usually there isn't any... but it does not hurt to check.

Think they have a 110 or 105 point inspection for about $20... where they note everything. It could be something handy for keeping track of your service along with your old service and maintainance papers.
