Thinking about 37's, Have some questions first.
I am well considering going with a little more lift and getting some 20's and 37's. I have a couple questions first though.
#1. What is the cheapest way I could lift my truck a little more to clear the 37's? Right now I have a 2" level and a 3" bodylift with 35's and no rub what so ever. I compared it to a truck with a procomp 6" lift and it only sat 1" higher in the rear. #2. I have 3 73 gears, will this be enough for the 37's? With the 35's right now it has plenty of power. I can even powerbrake the truck. #3. If I didnt regear what would be the result? Mpg, Power...etc? Thanks for all of the help in advance! |
37's are a big tire, I had them on my dodge and they killed the fuel mileage (even on my diesel) truck. It's not so much the height as it is the actualy weight difference.
I think you would need at least a 6" kit to go with your Body lift. So many of the 20's out there in the 6x135mm bolt pattern are a negative offset and stick the tires out a good ways from the fender, that being said, it takes a lot more lift to clear them. Gears will be a must to keep the things from burning a gallon of fuel from stoplight to stoplight. |
Well with that in mind what is everyones oppions on getting 20's and 35's?

Would be a more economical decision for you and you could spend a little more on something nice in the wheel/tire department without having to spread it over a lift kit as well.

Yea I agree. Now I just have to save up a little more money and decide what wheels to go with. I already know im gonna get the toyo m/t's. I absolutely love 'em

check out incubus alloys for your wheels, lots of different styles and they look very aggresive with the toyo MT's. Check out my gallery I have the brawns with some 37 toyo MT's
