problems w/push-in pop-out cupholder

Arrow problems w/push-in pop-out cupholder

my push in pop-out cup holder in the dashboard, is stuck in the in' position? i pushed it in and waited for it to pop-out but it never did? what do i do? i dont want to pry on it or stick a knife under it and pull it out? thanks in advance!

since it is already stuck you are going to have to pull it out somehow. What are you really gonna do take it to the dealer and say " my cupholder is stuck" c'mon sally, pry that thing out and than grease it up. Wheel and bering grease will work, so will some of that white lithium stuff. please dont go spraying WD-40 all over the interior.

I've got an 01 supercrew that recently had that problem. There is also another thread on this subject. Anyway I couldnt find the piece of springsteel that goes on the back of the cup holder so I used a piece of a 3' hose clamp drilled a small hole and mounted with a small screw. Othes have found the original metal and used gorilla glue or 3m tape. To remove the cupholder just ger something with a hook and pull it out until it stops, then look for two release levers on top(one on each side) which need to be depressed so you can completely remove. I hope this helps, and I'll post pics as soon as I figure out how. I'm still kinda new to this site.
