Nice find! I have seen a couple other trucks like that. One goes by the name Red Racer, last I heard it was running low 11's in the 1/4. Here is a video of the truck, although not drag racing.Red Racer burnout

pretty much it could be just like he said, its hard to sell something that was never made, and being that its listed as a rebuilt title from the work, either that or they screwed up aligning the frame
|
there's nothing wrong with it, I've talked to guys that built them. anytime you alter the frame on a truck, the title goes rebuilt, salvage or totalled. my truck hasn't been inspected (nor will it have to be) but if it does, i know for sure the title will be marked as totalled.
they got that truck pretty cheap, it was just an xl when they started, not to mention, no one is going to make big profits by building custom trucks, unless you work for Ekstensive, or somewhere similar. |
All things considered, that's almost a steal.

Why's there a picture of the underside of the hood?
 |
The VIN # shown is NOT the actual VIN# of the vehicle.
Carfax should show that the vehicle was previously damaged but they have no record of the entire disassembly and rebuild of the vehicle. How do you Carfax it if the actual VIN is not available? |
the pictures to show the cowl hood from underneath. you can see the duct work

My bad. :o |
like said before..with rebuilt title, its hard to talk a bank into lending you money on something like that. most banks would not, meaning cash would be needed to buy it. not alot of people in the market for that kind of vehicle either. friend had a 81 malibu wagon with a 526 big block...over 15k in motor alone. after months of "selling it" he finally got rid of the car that he had estimate of 40k in the car. sold for 9500. no market. market drives price. if this guy really has 60k in that truck, i dont doubt he does, he could have got to 53-56 and put 45 into it and got atleast his 45 back out of it. no market for an almost useless truck. it looks just like a cowl hood, no induction about it at all that i see...just has a cold air k&n looking tube on there hanging down by radiator. and thats a bold claim that this truck could drive 400k miles.
