since the 2008's are in and they are trying to clear the 2007's.

I'm looking for a Supercrew 4x4 Lariat 6.5' bed.

I got over $12K off of mine when I bought it. I bought my '05 on October 31st 2005 as a ton of 06 were on the lot. I had to fight like hell to get the deal I got, but I got it done. So I don't think it's impossible. End of the month is usually better too.

Was it the time Ford had their "Employee Discount" to the public?

bought my 04 on 12/15/04. all the 05's were in and this was the last 04. took six weeksand probably 5 trips to the dealer but i brought them down from 26,700 to 19,500 plus received $1800 worth of milwaukee power tools as a promo offer. still happy with the deal (just too bad it wasn't a 5.4)

No there wasn't anything going on except rebates for 05's since 06's were out. I looked at the sticker the other day when I was filing some paperwork and I fought and got $12,2xx off sticker. I felt like I got a good deal and that is what matters to me. I'm not comfortable paying sticker for ANY car. If I can't negotiate a fair price then it's not the kind of vehicle i want to drive. Last week we bought my wife a new car (Mazda CX-7) and I got em to come off quite a bit, but not near what I got on my truck. Other side to that is that my truck stickered at $37,7xx. There is more wiggle room than there is with a car that only sitckers at $29,xxx. I'm just not scared to walk away. There is NO vehicle out there that I can't walk away from if I feel like I'm paying more than I am comfortable with.

The question should be:

What is possible to get off as far as per the dealers actual cost?

Don’t go by sticker because some dealers can jack them up so bad they make you “think” you got the deal of your life when in fact you got a great deal like many others had.

There is no way anybody is going to get $12,000 off when compared to the dealers actual cost.

You would be doing great getting $1,500 to $2,000 off of dealers cost UNLESS it also includes rebates etc…

I'd say $10,000 is about all you're going to get. If you can get more than good for you!

I'd have to agree with Thump, on your higher end packaged trucks, 10K is about average this time of year. I bought my 05 on 12/10/05 that had a sticker price of $42 and change, after allot of haggling, $31.5. I'm sure there are folks who maybe do better but 10K is about average.
