I remeber reading a thread about buying a couple of shares of stock in ford motor company and you recive a pin # for x plan. I wanted to know if it was true and if any of you guys had tried it. If so please give me some direction

don't know about the stock thing, but if you're just looking for an x-plan pin #, you can go to blueovalnews.com and there's a link on the home page to request one. I did it, and purchased my 07 Mustang GT with it.....I thought it was a great deal.

 

Just buying shares doesn't get you an X-Plan PIN. You need to contact Shareholder Relations, stockinf@ford.com or call them (you'll have to find that number) and let them know your interested in obtaining a PIN for investor's special pricing (or X-Plan). They will send you a form, where you provide contact info and a copy of your account statement showing proof of stock ownership. A few days later, you'll have a PIN good for 1 year.

Or you can try the blueovalnews or other sources to obtain one. Some dealers will give you X-plan pricing without a PIN.

Ford stock is cheap. $8.43 actually. So a few bucks there, saves you some money and eliminates the BS in the sales process (BS still exists with respect to your trade)...
