That is exactly the opposite impression I had of the new generation GM trucks. To me it looked like they used old AMC measurements for fit & finish on the interiors. LOTS of large gaps, and squeaky crap. That was the ones they had on display at the auto show! I figure the ones on the dealer lots couldn't be any better.

the dealer makes it. thats fine that there is a problem with a vehicle. no manufacturer is perfect. the key is how it is handled. does the company back the dealer? in my case the only good ford dealer in my area, in my opinion, was closed by ford. if i had to replace my ford tomorrow would it be with another ford. HELL NO. i would be looking at chevys and gmc's. maybe those dealers are better or maybe they are worse, but one thing for sure is that i know what the ford dealers by me are.

This is the world's ugliest truck we're talking about. You can't put a bag over the entire truck. Unless it's for an enterprise rental car commercial.

They had the perfect fix for the rather strange front end, but somehow decided that front end would only be destined for the Tahoe, Suburban and Avalanche. If I went truck shopping today I would probably stop at a GMC dealership based on looks, that is one nice looking truck, alot better than a Ford IMO.

Yeah, I gots to admit, the Ute's are fair dinkum.

Some sort of evolutionary disconnect between the Ute team and the pickup team. Rednecks and/or Hillybillies involved, I'd suspect offhand.

The SD is awsome! I like everything about it better than the F150 except parking it! I am getting 14.1 MPG compared to 12.4 with the F150. The ride is great and it feels twice as strong as the F150! Its an awsome truck all the way around.

I went to Nascar Nextel Cup race in Fontana Ca, they had a line up of the all Chevy/GMC Trucks on display. In my opinion, the only trucks that looked good were the ones that had bigger (than stock) tires on them.
The trucks with stock tires just didn't look right to me, they sat too low and the body looked out of proportion (too big).
