Putting together my new truck and would prefer a shorter wheelbase like I have with my 02' Reg. cab F150 which is 120".....I notice that the specs for the 08' Ext. cab with the 5.5' bed is 133".....
Could someone post some photos of one(ext cab + 5.5' bed)or help me with the search feature as I obviously haven't mastered that F'er yet.

I do and I don't like that size truck... I dunno... it looks like the cab is HUGE compared to the rest of the truck. I still say the best looking F150's are either:

Reg. Cab 6.5 ft or 8 ft bed
or
Ext. Cab 6.5 ft bed or 8 ft bed

 

love your truck man, always have, if i were to ever get shortbed scab i would have to do it up just like yours

The 8ft beds on the 04+ looks wierd to me, something about the bed sides being so high. As far as the cab looking big on the 5.5ft beds, its obviously the same size, simple matter of perception. You know what they say about opinions, their like arseholes...everyones got one and they all stink...
