X2, these actually work and don't loose effect in the rain like most of those blue bulbs. AND higher wattage blue bulbs can burn up wiring harnesses too.

Ron_b 09-10-2007 10:18 PM

Grubrunner 09-10-2007 10:32 PM

Yeah Silverstars work like a gem, just two sets... one for the fogs and one for the low/high beams.

Check my sig for the model numbers or see the complete list below

Good luck.

Silverstars are good lamps. Decent improvement, a whiter and somewhat brighter lamp, that is still a DOT approved lamp. Just realize that these higher output or whiter/brighter lamps have a shorter lamp life. As one who drives 42 - 45K miles per year, I only get 12 to maybe 15 months out of these before one fails.

Sylvania should be releasing the Silverstar Ultra in an H13 configuration later this year, so you may want to wait. There are claimed to have a longer lamp life, and if I remember correctly "maybe" a little more output.

This guy just put a set in and he Isn't impressed. There are a few others that don't think they're worth it as well. Just FYI:

I dunno .. it's difficult for me to take the advice of anyone who uses the term 'philips thingamajiggy' seriously, y'know? :D

I use 'em - heads & fogs. I likes 'em.

:beers:

Use latex gloves if you have fat hands. You twist the back of the bulb housing, pull it out, twist the new one in.
