Rear Wheel Horsepower to Flywheel Horsepower Conversion

Convert rear wheel figures to estimate flywheel figures.

Flywheel Horsepower = FHP
Rear wheel Horsepower = RHP

FHP = RHP + 17% (auto trans)
FHP = RHP + 25% (man trans)

RHP = FHP - 15% (auto trans)
RHP = FHP - 20% (man trans)

Example: 312.25 FHP = 249.8 RHP + 62.45 HP*

* Manual trans: +25%

x2.

Every vehicle is different.

As stated though, these damn trucks are horrible for drivline loss. SUPPOSEDLY 300 HP at the crank and we are only punchin out 200ish at the wheels. 30 or so percent driveline loss

my vin lists 154 hp also. I don't know what's up with that. Don't know if it is a typo on ford's part or it is real.

funny thing is also that I put in my focus ST vin in, and that says 148 hp. Ford rated them in there brochers as 151 hp. I am wondering if the flex fuel trucks are all listed as 154 hp.

Depends on the fuel.

Want to see another example?

The 4.2l v6 is rated at 202 hp and 260 ft/lbs... on Ford's truck website.
The 6.8l v10 is rated for 362 hp and 457 ft/lbs... on Ford's truck website.

Now look at this link...

PM me your VIN for the truck, and I'll post a screenshot of your claim.
