The best enclosed intake, perhaps.

But not the best in terms of maximum performance. There's only one - > AF1 3.5".

Custom tunes required for both - be advised.

I was still looking for some numbers from people with 87 octane, a custom tune and an air intake. If I can't get at least 35 to 40 hp, then it is probably not worth it.

And you know this because you tested the S&B, AF1, AEM, JLT, K&N, CGS, AIRRAID, MAC, VOLANT, TRUE FLOW, AFE, OUTLAW, BANKS all together right?

Yes, every bit does help. but I already have a modded vehicle, and I am looking for gains in towing and low end performance. Something that is top end or kills the torque is not what I am looking for. So to get back on topic, what could I use to help out in the towing area.

Kenny

They are hit or miss. I never got a call back twice and forget about asking mike specific questions. He is never around to answer them. The tune they sent me seems better than roushes but I would have liked to have my questions answered. yeah yeah yeah I know he is busy so heck so am I

No, but it's a waste of money, unless you have mods and a tune. I've been lucking out lately. The Esso near me keeps running out of regular, so they sell the high test at the same price. I figure, what the heck. It's premium fuel at a bargoon price, but I don't notice any difference in mileage, or performance.

I take advantage of it if the Mustang has an empty tank though, even though it was tuned for 94 octane (Esso's premium is 91). It likes Esso.

No, Silly wabbit .

And yes, you missed a bunch; there are approx 26 on the market.

And - TP has tested every one. And written MAF TF's for a lot of them.

Why don't you just ask them, squirt?

I don't have those resources and neither do you. But they do.

BTW - I can hear your sqweaky trike waaaay over here lol.

What are the other intakes out on the market?

I just wonder if TP knows who built the S&B intake.

If you're looking for big numbers with just bolt ons than you need to step up to a 93 octane, do yourself a favor.

MGD - What exactly does "canned tuner" and "custom tuned" mean? I'm looking for a CAI and not sure which one to go with yet, but I want to know about this tuning. Thanks.

canned tuners are universal tunes that are premade and put on a programmer, and are supposed to work with all trucks (even though its the same tune on every programmer).

custom tunes are when someone like TP takes your truck's specific code and mods, and your driving preferences, and creates a tune molded to your specific vehicle and driving habits.
