It can't get any worse.....

I decided to treat Mama to a new truck.
So we go shopping and we're looking at '07 lariets super crews and finnally get a decent deal on one from a dealer ship in Garland.
Well they start thier "quasy" math and I'm on top of it and so we end up setteling out on price.
We go and sign the contract and take the truck home. The next day I do a flip flop to Huntsville and everything is fine.
Mama drives it on Monday and Tuesday and then say's on Wednesday that the truck drives rough. I fiqure she's just talking about the suspension.
On Thursday evening the dealership calls and says they made a mistake on the financing and we need to come back and sign a new contract. It appears someone put down .09% instead of .9%.
So the next day we go in and tell them "tough". We signed the contract in good faith so your stuck.
Oh they're all upset. So my wife just tells them to just take the truck back and give her Marinar back and we'll forget the whole thing. They tell us they already sold the truck. Well she freaks out on them and pretty much tell's them the way it is in no uncertain terms.
Well they huttle in another room and are on the phone and come back.
Now they say that Ford will finance at .09% and for all our trouble and the fact that my wife is upset they will give us $750 bucks as an apology.
MY WIFE SAY"S 'IS THAT ALL?". God I love her. P.S. We found the Mariner in thier used car lot Tuesday. Lying sacks of ****.
Now to the rough driving part.
It started bogging down on the way to the dealership and after we were through talking to the sales people we took it back to the service department and left it. They call the next day and say there's nothing wrong so we drive it home and it's doing it again.
Back we go the next day and we have the tech drive it. Least to say it barely makes it back.
Ends up that a thrust washer shattered and the tranny is toast. Ford has also requested that it be sent back to Dearborn so they can see it.
Now a new tranny is on the way and we expect to get it back Thursday.
Ends up Fords had the truck longer than we have. And for record it only has 780 miles on it. We put 700 on it.
I'll update if any thing crazier happens.

Sorry to hear your having mechanical problems with a brand new truck but it sounds like the fix is on it's way. Maybe that will be that and you won't have any more problems.

It think it's hilarious that the dealership screwed up the interest rate on the contract though....in your favor! I wish that one would have been caught on video. Plus $750 for your trouble....I want your wife to go with me to the dealership the next time I buy a car or truck.

Too funny!!!

I'm having Trouble with my 2004 F150 and consulted the Neighbor who is at Mechanic at Avis Rental cars. He informed me that there are atl least 10 trucks at his shop waiting on a new engin due to thrust bearings. Bad thing though, he said my 2004 is making the same noise as the new 2007 in his shop. Any body else had problems with a thrust bearing in a year modle other than a 2007?

My arguement would have went something like, "This phone call wouldn't be happening if the numbers were an error of the opposite, say 9.00%"

I don't think you need to worry with a 2004 F150. It's only 2007s from what I can tell. I've never heard of a case of it with anything other than 2007s and surely the problem would of arose before now if they did have a problem.

This stuff @ stealerships is what makes me mad. I had a problem like this with Ford credit in the beggining. I get a 500$ college student discount for lol.....being a college student. I had one hell of a time getting them to give me that rebate. When I signed they said it was no problem, then they called me a week later and told me that my "unofficial" transcripts (because I'm not finished yet) were not good enough for the rebate. I finally convinced them just last week that I'm enrolled, in good standing, and am a college student. Lol....I hope you win the war, cause man sometimes you lose the battles.....

I wouldn't stand for that...you need to fight them tooth and nail to honor the original interest rate that you originally signed for!.....
