No cranking coilovers for me...

Well I only got a stage 1 lift because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to take advantage of cranking coilovers. I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money on them now. I think I'm just going to get the 6" RCD Bilstein 5100's for the front.

For anyone intersted, my garage door opening is 83" high (not including rubber door seal). I have just about exactly 1" clearance with a 6" ProComp lift w/ ProComp AAL in the rear and 35" tires.

Also, does anyone know of a decent looking radio antenna that won't stick up above the roof?

Looks good! Just remove the ball from the top of your stock antenna, cut it a little shorter, then glue the ball back onto the antenna. Just be sure to leave it slightly taller than your cab. It's there to serve as an indicator.

hey baja150, where are you getting the RCD bilsteins from? Are the 5100's still able to be pre loaded 2" higher to the next ring? Thanks

Top Gun Customz has them on their web site and on eBay. I think they're $10 cheaper on eBay, but I don't know what the S&H differences are.

Yes they have the 2" adjustments, but they're for the RCD lift, so I believe the adjustments would be for a 4/6" lift, not a 6/8".

Yeah 4/6" adjustments and they're $429 on their site and $419 on eBay.

Negatron. FM radio antennas are tuned to a specific length to provide the best reception possible. when you cut it down, it's best to use a multiple of the original length to maintain reception.

What exactly do you mean by "multiple"?

Depending on what units you measure in, there's really infinite multiples.

multiple as-in:

ex: if your antenna is 36" use 9" 18" or 27"

when i had my Cobra i cruised this site:

Antenna Shortening How To

basically explains the ins and outs.

and i can't be sure, but do the new f150's have a wrapped mast antenna or is it a simple stick? i don't think you can cut a wrapped mast.

Man, make sure you don't lose a few pounds, have an empty gas tank and hot tires or you might put a custom racing stripe on your cab!

Why not use 6", 12", 24"?

Or 3", 6", 9", 12", etc. I think this is what Baja was getting at.

He said to be a "man", so that would exclude you.

Sorry I couldn't resist. Seriously, just joking.

Yeah that is what I meant....

you could use multiples of 1" and cut it every inch or use multiples of 0.0001 and basically cut it anywhere.

There must be a rule that the multiple you choose must divide into the original length no more than 3 times or something. Other wise you could really just cut it anywhere.
