This is coming from the guy who believes that 289 rwhp is possible with the Big 3. . Sorry but no one asked for the Peanut Gallery response so go back to time out. When the big boys are done playing, we'll call you. Thank you.

I see no reason why the big 3 couldn't get 289 rwhp out of these trucks. To me it looks like the Japanese have just better engineered the transmissions in their trucks. They're more efficient at getting the engine's power to the ground where it should be. The Titan is either underrated or they have an extremely efficient transmission. Either way I'd love it's drive train in our trucks.

Now Ford did better engineer nearly everything else on the truck, but now I believe the transmission is the heart of a truck, and Ford didn't seem to put much effort into designing a better transmission for the F150. I wonder if the 6 speed tranny from the expedition would fit in the current F150 with little or no modifications.

i just had to replace my trans too, unfortunately not under warranty. it pooped at 72k. i was really dissapointed, up untill then i had literally no problems with my 04. luckily the new trans has a 75k warranty on it, and hopefully it will last longer then the first one did.

oh and if you get your truck tuned, it wont take 2 seconds to decide to shift.

I'd love to get the Troyer tune for my truck, but I don't trust this transmission. I'll seriously consider one if the new transmission does good. If the new transmission has a 75k warranty that will pretty much match the extended warranty I have on my truck.

ya im currently running the Edge on my new trans and i dont trust it at all. the edge makes me feel like my truck is going to fall apart. im really considering switching to a custom tune and selling the edge.

I see no reason either, but the 2004+ F150 just cannot put down those kind of numbers at the rear wheel with that few of mods. . around +/- 260 rwhp is more reasonable with those mods. Yes, the Titan transmission is actually one of the best engineered transmission IMO. I've heard that the drivetrain loss is about as close as we'll ever get to what a manual transmission puts out. Ford could build one better as in terms of performance but Ford is more concerned with reliability and drivability. I mean just look at our motors how undertuned they are. Who knows about the 6-speed though. Who knows if it'll be able to support a lot of towing? Maybe Ford is using the Expedition as a test platform before they put it into one of their flagship vehicles.

LOL. I knew that'd really get you fired up. By the way, don't ever bother to post a reply to something I write because from here on and out, you're on ignore.
