hmmm.....maybe get a semi-strong magnet....put it on the lock....then slow pull it off and maybe the key will stick to it.

if there is alittle bit of the key sticking out then maybe you can get it out with some needle nose and not trying to be a smart **** here but seriously maybe some chewing gum or that tacky plue stuff so it caves to the hole and then grabs the key. i dont know just throwing some ideas around let us know how it works out.

maybe try to put some super-glue gel on the part of the key you have and try to "re-attach" it to the broken part?

Like supercrewser13 said, just throwing some ideas around.

I've never seen a toolbox that had a decent lock and a nice key.

I'm sure you can. I've just learned to be a little more easy on the key.

You didn't say if the box was locked closed or if you could open the lid. Either way, get a dentists pick and try to retrieve it that way. If you can get the lid open, remove the lock and slam it down, key side down, on a hard surface until the broken piece comes out far enough to "pick" it out. A little graphite down the key slot before you try would help. That's always worked for me.

Well I've been preaching on here for a while about how good the Cam Locker boxes are, but no one ever believes me. The locks on UWS and 99% of all other toolboxes have those cheap keys and flimsy little lift latches that can be easily broken in to. I've had these and won't buy one again. Also, they only rotate through a few different keys making it easy for anyone to get a "master set." Cam lockers have much stronger keys and latching mechanisms. I know I have gotten off topic here, but I figured I would just bring this up again. BTW I have no connection to their company, if fact I paid more for mine than I wanted to haha, but it is worth it knowing all my gear is safe.

As for getting the key out, try what some of the other guys said. If you aren't lucky a locksmith should get it for you for a few bucks.

I actually was going to post about you talking about the "Cam-Locker" but couldn't remember the damn name of it.
