Birds do not seem to be very messy, my dad hit two full size turkeys with his 1980 F-350, aside from a tiny blood spot about half as big around a pencil on the bumper and a small dent in the grille we can't really remember was there before or not there was no evidence anything happened.

One was directed under the truck to contend with 5 axles by the bumper and other was thrown beside the truck in an explosion of feathers. The bumper took the brunt of both hits. We had the triple axle gooseneck trailer hooked on and loaded down so needless to say manouvering was not an option.

That is so funny, almost looks like he wanted to see what you had in there. lol Glad to hear no damage!

I will consider myself lucky.. I still don't have the courage to check if anything was caught in there and stuck in the shroud... I am leaving that to my husband. lol

I had a 2000 Lincoln Navigator and in 02 hit an Owl busted through the grill and dented the radiator. All you could see is busted bars and a 1.5 ft hole in the grill. Stupid birds...

I just put up an ad on the classifides for an aftermarket grille that I am selling. You should check it out and see if that is what you want to replace your broken one with. I also have this link to it
