Cruise Control problem

Just towed my boat (20ft) to work today as I plan on going to the lake house for the weekend.

I was driving at 65 and set the cruise, however with I hit a bump it shut off…tried it over and over and did the same thing….never had this issue before…
Has anyone else?????
Thanks for the help!

yes it happened with me severall times when towing. then I found out the owners manual says not to tow with the cruise control on. if I am towing on nice smothe level highway I still use cruise control though with no issues.

I just came back from a long trip and at one point I was on and off on the cruise control an at one point it just stop working. Shut the truck off to get lunch, got back on the road and it worked again.

More than likely, the ABS tripped off the cruise, when you encountered the bump(s).
