Another one bites the dust....EDGE just took a crap on me to......

I have heard the stories and i alway thought it would not happen to me!

We i was almost done with the full redo of the truck and went to start the truck and it would not start all the gauges and stuff were on and it would not start, i looked down at the odometer and it was just ----- ----- like that on the digital! I looked at my edge and it had me go though all the steps like usual! I even put it back to stock! Right after i did that the screen went green and now i am getting nothing from the edge and the truck will still not start! When i try to start the truck i hear a tick from the fuse box and i checked all relays and fuses and i have took the battery loose and all the plugs i have tried everything! I dont what to do next but try edge but what can they do if i am only seeing a green screen and nothing else? Should i just have Ford reflash the PCM and chunk the EDGE or sell it or send it back?

Give me some input i am screwed at the moment!

But i will update you on the looks of the truck as soon as i can get it running again.....lol!

I had the same happen back in 01 with an old Super Chips blue chip. Turned out I had not cleaned the contacts on the PCM all the way and the chip was not installed properly.

Are you sure you have everything back on correctly? Check all your connections again and make sure you did not pinch any of the wires going to the programmer.

Best of luck, I would def. call Edge right away and get them involved. If anything it'll start some kind of paperwork to show that you are having issues with their product and have tried to get their help.

Later...
Bruce

When you say redo, what do you mean? Check the battery strength. This happened to me when I was installing my radio, and the interior lights were on for a couple hours, and the radio on 15-20 minutes with-out the truck running, I hooked up my bat. charger for 2 hours went back and everyhting was fine. I called edge and they stated that the truck needs a certain amp for everything to work right. Good luck

Same thing happened to me, killed the battery. I thought my Edge took a crap on me. So i disconnected they Edge and the battery for an hour, recharged it then hooked the battery back up and drove around for about half a day doing errands, then i reinstalled my Edge and everything has worked fine since. Whatever it was it hasnt happened again. I hope you get your stuff back to normal, it sucks when your toys are broken.
